E-Bike Full-day Trip From Prague: The Mighty Karlštejn Castle
Cycle from Prague to Karlštejn Castle on a relaxed 7-hour e-bike tour through the Czech countryside. Ride along quiet, flat riverside paths that take you through forests and cozy village neighborhoods. Pause along the way for a swim or a break at one of the local cafés popular with cyclists. With the help of the e-bike, climb to a hilltop viewpoint overlooking Karlštejn Castle, the 14th-century fortress built by Emperor Charles IV.

We will pick you up between 8:30 and 9:00 am in your hotel.
Within ±20 mins, we will arrive to our base as Velká Chuchle at outskirts of Prague, and equip you with the bike, helmet, bidon, and for Self-Guided option of the trip also Garmin GPS navigation.
By ±10 am, we set out following Vltava and later Berounka River. Approx. 95% the path is paved, flat and without any motorized traffic. Remaining 5% are residential streets with minimal traffic and speed restricted to 30 km/h.
For riders who do not mind a bit of dirt, we know some funny shortcuts too!
After leaving Velká Chuchle, we will slowly immerse into tranquil countryside, with Brdy National Forest on one side and Czech Karst Landscape protected on the other. At relaxed pace, we will pedal through cozy villages, open meadows, and lush, green river valley.
Depending on wheather, we will stop for an ice cream, top-notch espresso, or for a swim at some of trendy caffés or grassy beaches along the path.
Based on your intake of caffeine and sugar, we will arrive to Karlštejn between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Here, before devoting ourself to a hearthy lunch, with help of ebikes we will climb to a hidden viewspot and enjoy the castle from the best possible angle.
After lunch, you will be free to explore the castle and its surroundings on your own pace on foot and later return to Prague by a direct 40-min train. Guide will take care of the bikes.
