One day leisure hike from Prague
Just 35' by train from Prague lies Czech Karst. Limestone Landscape protected area known mainly for the famous Karlštejn Castle, but it has plenty more to offer. In easy one day walking trip, you can cover former monasteries, climb cliffs and of course visit the famous Karlštejn castle

Details
The tour is mostly easy walk, with one steeper ascent right at the start. Anyone with a basic fitness, capable of walking for 9 kilometers is a good candidate for the trip.
After picking you up at Prague, we will drive for about 40 mins to Svatý Jan. After visiting the church (optional) and filling up our bottles with local water with healing powers (supposedly), we will start climbing to the cliff above the monastery. No climbing gear necessary, an easy (though steep!) path around is available.
Atop the cliff, we will enjoy the views of the monastery from bird's perspective and continue the hike along an old limestone quarry, now serving as a mining museum. After easy 6 km, we will arrive to Karlštejn for lunch.
At Karlštejn, once we fill up our bellies with hearthy lunch, we can continue with few options:
a) Admire the castle from indoors, and take a classic castle tour (ticket price not included in our tour),
b) Admire the castle from outdoors, and ascent to a hill across the valley for a postcard-perfect photos of Karlštejn,
c) enjoy the tourist buzz of the village below the castle and hunt for souvenirs and alike
Everyone will be free to choose based on his likings and interests. Return to Prague is then easy via direct train from the local train station.
We will pick you up in the hotel, usually between 8:30 and 9:30 AM. The exact pickup time will be clarified around 9PM the day before the trip.
